Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the grooves as these are the most difficult areas to extract the dust from in rattan furniture. A simple wipe with a soft cloth regularly would suffice for prolonging its life. In case of staining clean immediately with soap and water. In case of cracking or splitting of the wood, try boiled linseed oil to put moisture back into the material.

One problem I faced with this furniture is that it splits from the bottom due to regular contact with rough floors. The solution I found was placing rubber stoppers underneath its legs to reduce friction. This really works. For rest of the maintenance its regular things like dusting or vacuuming once in few days.

It best to keep this furniture away from direct sunlight and heat. Regular cleaning say once a week would be the best. You can clean with a little detergent diluted into water. Wipe the furniture by skimming the suds off the top of the water with a soft cloth without getting the wood wet. Clean the cracks and grooves with a toothbrush or other small brush.
