It all started with a first UXUA casa 'gulab mahal' and was later on expanded into 10 more such houses unique in themselves with just one thing in common; the traditional essence of the natural environment. Some casas are the refurbished fishermen houses and the others are eco-friendly tree-houses in the blossoming tropical gardens. You can witness rich earthy as well as bright colors inside and outside the properties built with assistance from local artisans and traditional and organic building material.
The Kitchen has natural elements like coconut shells carved by Bahian cowboys, the bathroom has shower-heads carved from the trunks of eucalyptus trees, sofas are upholstered using canvas taken from the backs of old transport trucks, beach lounge is built from old local fishing boats, the pool is created from 40,000 specimens of unique green aventurine quartz, a native Bahian stone considered by many to have powerful healing qualities as a therapeutic mineral. A beautifully designed concept and a must visit for all! Have a look!
