When you look at these pictures it will be hard for you to believe that this place is a part of Bangkok University, Rangsit Campus, located north of Bangkok. In the past few years the University brands itself as a Creative University and walks the words by creating astonishing spaces for students not only to study but to be encouraged to spend time on the campus. Earlier the university took hold of Bangkok's Supermachine Studio, led by Pitupong (Jack) Chaowakul, to create the Student Lounge.
The new project renewed the ground floor and mezzanine into a fun place for students to get stress free while they study and recreate. The ground floor is designed for individual or group studies, relaxation and mini conferences whereas the mezzanine is utilized for fun stuff like a Karaoke hut, pool table, dart boards, gossip corner, Kungfu zone and music room.
A 6.5 meter high gigantic panda is actually a spiral staircase joining the ground floor and mezzanine. Kudos to the design team: Pitupong Chaowakul, Suchart Ouypornchaisakul, Nuntawat Tassanasangsoon, Wattikon Kosolkit, Santi Sarasuphab and Supanna Chanpensri.
